Happy Sunday! I don’t know about you, but Sundays are my favorites. I love waking up, getting a cup of coffee, maybe some dry cereal, and sitting in my bedroom, in the dark, reading, blogging … and then turning on the light and doing a little knitting. If everything goes the way I hope, I’m in bed until 11 or 12, getting things done, but being cozy. Sundays are also chore days. I do dishes and laundry and the store… all of which I hate and put off until Sundays so I don’t have a choice but to do them. Dishes are normally made better by the fact that I have Dateline recorded from the previous week and can catch up at that time. And I get lots of steps in when I do the grocery shopping. It’s the little things.
I am reading a really good book right now. Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. It’s based on a time in American history when there was such a thing as an orphan train that traveled across the country to rid the streets of NYC of children without families. I love reading books that incorporate true pieces of history in them.
Oh and I beat my 5K time TWICE this week. I was super pumped about it. Now I just have to drag myself out of bed today to get out and try again. Rain is on the way in, so I’m sure by the time I get my lazy bum out of bed, I’ll be doing a Jillian Michaels workout, followed by an arm workout I put together.
